So what are the 10 best weight loss foods and how do I know they are the best for weight loss?

Two reasons why I know they’re great for weight loss:

  1. I have tested and proven this theory myself
  2. I have found university studies to back my claims

With this said here are the 10 best weight loss foods:

 Almonds

Crunchy Almonds

Why are they so good for weight loss? Because they keep you full for longer, satisfy your cravings and keep your blood sugar lower, thus encouraging you to eat fewer calories throughout the day.

Even though almonds are so high calorie many studies have proven that women who eat a diet high in almonds have 18% greater chance of weight loss success when compared to women on a high carb diet. Enough said.

A small handful of almonds is a great portion size. That is about 15 g of almonds, which is around 10-12 almonds depending on the size or you can have 50g almonds to replace a meal for when you’re short on time.

You can enjoy these as part of a meal or as a snack with crunchy veggie sticks, yum!

 Broccoli

Broccoli is sensational for weight loss because it’s high in protein, fiber and extremely low calorie. If you’re hungry have broccoli, it’s that simple. Better yet, it’s also one of the most alkaline veggies around. So by eating more broccoli you’re creating a healthier body and as a result you’ll have more energy. Eating it raw is best, but if you can’t that’s understandable so lightly steaming your broccoli or roasting it is a great way to enjoy it. However one of my favorite ways is microwaving broccoli and adding a little salt. It taste great and is perfect for something to eat between meals!

 Pumpkin

Pumpkin is a weight loss food because it’s sweet and can be used in so many ways. Roasted pumpkin is amazing with a little bit of oil (½-1 tsp.) and some sea salt. Pumpkin is great because it’s low in carb and absolutely packed with essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin A, C and potassium. It’s my substitute for sugar, flour, eggs, potato, and sweet potato.

You can enjoy it as a snack or adding it to your next meal. This low calorie, high fiber, sweet vegetable can be enjoyed in many ways such as: soups, curries, roasting, salads, smoothies and of course baking!

Avocados are specifically one of the highest alkalizing fruits/vegetables around. So by consuming more avocados you’re losing more weight and cleansing your body simultaneously.

It’s also the best substitute for butter, and taste freaking amazing in salads, blended in smoothies, added to soups, on it’s own, and also toasted on a barbecue with a bit of olive oil and sea salt.

Avocados are full of potassium, protein, fiber, monounsaturated fats, magnesium and low in carbs and sugar. So this vegetable is great for weight loss because it promotes healthier eating, encourages fewer calorie consumption throughout the day and has a creamy texture which keeps you satisfied.

What the heck is SweetMe? SweetMe is a 100% natural zero calorie alternative to sugar. Unlike most sugar alcohols SweetMe is not made by a chemist it’s made from a perfect strategic combination of erythritol and stevia.

So why is it such a great weight loss food? Because it’s a natural sugar alternative that has no effect on your insulin levels, contains only 0.24 calories per gram and tastes great. So if you’re craving something sweet, instead of having sugar that is high in calorie and raises your insulin levels, which makes you crash and then crave more of it, SweetMe won’t.

So essentially SweetMe helps you lose weight because it can replace sugar as it comes without any of the nasty after that sugar has. Pretty awesome, right?
