When you’re hiking the uBud mountains, taking a leisurely stroll along the Nusa Dura beaches, or kicking back in a luxury resort in Seminyak, Bali is a country filled with wonders and natural beauty.
However what isn’t so beautiful about Bali is what happens when you drink their local water…Thats why on our trip we armed ourselves with the Fill2Pure Travel Safe water bottle, and here’s our review…
Practicality:
Of all the Filter water bottles I’ve tried, the Travel Safe is by far the most practical. Its squeezy design allows for you to get quite a solid flow of water through, which greatly aids with hydration in humid asia environments.
Plus its very well built so I wasn’t afraid of dropping or damaging it during the trip.
Filter Quality:
The claims on the Fill2Pure website are certainly bold. Filtering 99.99% of viruses and bacteria seems almost impossible, and although I don’t if this claim is true, I do know this was the first trip I’ve done to Asia without some level of stomach bug, so I’d say it passes.
Filter Life:
Fill2Pure claim that this filter 500 re-fills. When you break that down that’s less than 10 cents per bottle of safe water. In my opinion, thats a great deal and is well worth the investment.
How I used the filter most:
I want this fill2pure review to be as honest as possible, so in the interest of absolute transparency I didn’t use the filter all day every day. I found that the water still tasted a little bit like ‘bali’, so I saved it for while I was in the apartment, and still purchased bottled water while out and about.
What I did love about it was the being able to fill it up in the airport bathrooms after security, always having water to do my teeth with, and using it for filtering water before making coffee in the room.
Honest Review Score:
In the video I gave the Fill2Pure Travel Safe water bottle a, 8/10, but since shooting that, and since getting rather frustrated at the airport security, I’d say the peace of mind and practicality that it offers is worth at least an 8.5.
The only reason why it falls short of a 10 is because the filter takes up approximately 150mls of your 800ml capacity. This mightn’t be an issue for most, but for me, and the amount of water I drink, it was a slight set back.
Personal Recommendation:
Buy one. This is the best Fill2Pure bottle that I’ve reviewed by far, and I’m going to keep it handy for use during our travels in Australia, Asia and throughout the world.
